Interior carpet ...

Featured Replies

I've been thinking about changeing my interior carpet in my vrs for a black or grey one .. Does anybody know if the mk4 golf carpet would be a streight swap as I've found one local and fairly cheap

Thanks Steve

Yup will fit, May have a lil gap under the back seat but easily covered I think

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

Think the 4 door versions are the same. Isn't it only 2 door versions that have a gap?

Has anyone done this mod ? If so how much of a pain is it to change ?

Seats right out (easy enough) side trims out (bit more fiddly) centre console trim out (more fiddly still).

To make it more easy, you might wish to cut part of the carpet that goes behind the centre console, otherwise you'll have to dismantle a lot more. You'll discover where when you remove though. It's not difficult, but a bit time consuming, and a bit of a chore. But white carpet is just soooooo yuk, when dirty.

top tip that!

def easier to cut a slot so you dont have to remove the airbox setup.

Well ive just got back from picking the carpet up its immaculate :) it was an ebay find and i won the auction for £20 quid :) just got to find time and weather to fit it :)

Easy to fit but as said above makes lide alot easier if you cut front bit where it goes under heather box,

Oh and dont put your hands on water pipes inside car with a hot engine because my god they get red hot
