Front door window sills

Featured Replies

Both of my front door window sill apprear to have been broken off at the B pillar end, it looks like there was something between the door and the rubber sill for the sill to sort of fasten down onto but its all perished away.

Anyone got any ideas if i can buy these bits? i have two new door sills but the bit they fix onto as i say is missing and looks perished, it means my current sills sit up

By sill i mean the rubber that goes along the top of the door and the bottom on the glass not the kick plates

Get one of those trim remover tools and start at one end then pry them upwards all the way along. Could squirt some water and fairly liquid down there as a lubricant. It might take some force as they've probably never been off before. Don't use a screw driver!

You may be able to do it with a sturdy ice scraper though :)

Sorry i think i haven't been very clear in what im explaining.

I mean the rubber along the top of the door and the bottom of the glass, i will try and get a picture of what i think is broken tomorrow

I'm pretty sure we are on the same line here. Post up a pic so I know exactly what you mean :)

Mine have come off fine, in fact they are broken and i didn't realize until recently.

Behind the passenger and drivers door ones there looks to be two holes for something to secure onto the door, i have nothing between the window sill and door except what looks like a load of perished rubber.

How does the end nearest the b pillar secure to the car?
