What size tires are people running on 17" wheels?

Featured Replies

as above what are people running?

205/40/17 is what you need

I run 215 - to be honest I've seen people run both 205 and 215 with no issues. However if you have a 17" rim you best with 40 profile rather than 45 as you wont run the risk of rubbing (and in the future if you want to lower it).

205/40/17 on mine to and it still rubs a bit on the front B)

215/40/17 Just like the way it sits on the rims.

Guess it gives a little more protection for the wheels when the missus drives it! :'(

+1

The slightly wider tyre helps if you touch a kerb, very little in it though! Kerbs are best avoided IMO!

Yeap, if my missus scratches my new refurbed spiders I'm gonna go mental! Lol

Are 18"s considered too big for the fabia.. ?

Considered to be, yes. But it is not unfeasible to fit them with 215/35 R18 tyres. Just expect issues if quite lowered, and on full lock to lock.

Thanks D-U...

Its on standard suspension, don't want it to look like a roller skate though. Need to find some pics. looking at BBS Ch reps...
