Speaker adapters

Featured Replies

As title really bought some new alpine speakers just wondering what adapters I need because iv seen people saying golf mk4 adapters are the same but not sure just as my local halfrauds has golf ones in stock but would have to order skoda ones is this the case or not? Thanks in advance

Golf mk4 are same

Wooden ones are better then plastic for acoustics

And apparently (according to everyone I've spoken to that knows anything about installing ICE) you would be a complete fool not to put some sound deadening on the inside of your door panels while you're at it.

There's a small amount of thin sound deadening there already put there by the nice people at Skoda. Apparently you only need to sound deaden a certain percentage of the door (I think about 25% - 30%) and after that you see no real benefit. Most sound deadening is only intended to reduce that "twang" when you hit the metal (like a cymbal) and not reduce road noise.

I have some dynamat speaker kits (smallish squares of dynamat) and I'm hoping I can manoeuvre them through the speaker hole and apply them directly behind the speaker.
