Production ends soon for the Fabia Monte Carlo edition.

Featured Replies

I popped into my local dealer today to enquire about a few things... and we got round to discussing how popular the Monte Carlo was.

I already knew that this particular model was only meant to be out for 2011 to celebrate the anniversary of this special event.

But to my amazement they apparently are soon to be ending production of the special edition by the end of this year or the latest next March.

If Skoda are clever enough they will make some extra ones for stock so people can still buy them over the year before the F3.

Unless they will release a special edition Sport or Black Line of some sort?

What do you guys think? :)

You trading the Octavia in ?

If it was only out to celebrate 2011 & it is now 2012, its gone on long enough.

So i would think drop the tag of the 'Special Edition' & do another Special Edition or version with similar parts.

You drop & change the Badges, & printed stuff like brochures, price lists and web sites.

That is if it was such a good seller and profitable and you keep wanting to sell them..

PS, i have never known of Sales People to say a particular car was a sales disaster if they think they have a Customer for one asking how they sold./sell.

Noo!!!!

If this info is correct, then I'm glad we have got our order in. Had been considering one for a while but our current Fabia is only just two years old; had originally planned keeping it longer but the Monte on vat free was just to tempting in the end.

They should stop production otherwise is defeats the object of it being a special edition if every man and his dog has one lol.

They best make another special edition as good! If not better!

I'm waiting for an authentic S2000 edition with the arches, (I know I'm in cloud cuckoo land) but it's good to dream.

rally edition + 1.4 tsi lump = wet dream

well i think it does :D

Makes sense as the Fabia III will be out not long after that anyhow.

Skoda do not exactly have to try hard to get a perfect 'Special Edition' on sale before the MK2 Fabia stops production.

Not even very high production costs to get people to put money in their pockets.

Someone has done the pre-production model for them. IMO.

Or i would put the deposit down on a Tech Grey one.

Haven't they changed the badges now to read Monte Carlo 2012? Which kind of defeats the point, as it was an anniversary of winning/competing in the rally (50 years in 2011).

So actually, if this is the case, then a Monte Carlo 2012 is far inferior to my MOnte Carlo 2011, registered in 2012!
