Well Its Finished, and I Love it!

Featured Replies

Sorry for this pic whoring but, I have finally finished all the jobs on the to do list ive had for a year.

My standard 1.9 tdi ambiente octy has had alot of work done to her, not least of these was the cosmetic side of things. It wasnt supposed to be a vrs look a like but it has ended up so because of a local breaker.

Thanks to this forum for helping me along the way, and to individual members for theyre hands on help/parts supplying/software supplying/ and advice giving.

I have done this on a serious budget, wheels were £80, coilovers £160, vrs bumper/spoiler/exhaust tip/badges/paint/splitter £100 al together so a grand total of £340 spread over as and when i could afford it.

Thanks to jas106 for cheap bits/ Jonsey for the splitter and side vents/ whitep for software/ sesach for hands on help and bits/ Gee@W8 for ideas/ Bowders for tutorials etc. and everyone else for being generally helpfull, funny, and providing solutions. Sorry if i missed anyone out its not intentional.

There is still wheel change options etc but on the whole the modding basis is complete

So opinions please! Good or bad it dont matter, im well happy, and wanna share.

I didnt use a dremmel hehe, i very very carefully followed the lines i drew and soften the edges delicately with............. a grinder :giggle: just a big dremmel really

Thanks mate, yes if you look around and wait and develop some skills (practice on other peoples cars first) it comes together. Im trying to find pics of when i first got her, a standard high riding flop of a taxi look a like.

Amazing   ,

It ticks all the boxes and more, I havnt got a splitter or side vents you have got me thinking now damn lol.

My grill surround is still chrome, must admit the black is a nice contrast, is it satin black spray??.

Very nice looking conversion.

NB: Only thing is the roof bars  , dont they create wind noise at speed??

Thats some transformation, just looked at your grill again, now I can see the stripe effect, was it difficult to do?.

It was an absolute ball ache! lots of heating and stretching, and lots of pullit off and restretch to get rid of creases. Finding bubbles, ah even to think about it makes me want to strangle my cat and make it look like an accident

i would love to find a picture of when i bought mines lol, as just looking at yours reminds me of how plain mines looked beforehand, big difference bud, aint there ?

good job buddy!
