Finished?!! I doubt it. I'll get a text next week with the next modification. Looks good though.

The mods had started in August when I was up visiting but its really transformed since then.

Send any spares my way!

Bowders1 I like your look. Black Spiders and black roof and diffuser. Nice.

cheers guys, actually bowders the diffuser has got me thinking, the rear is rather bland on these, even vrs.

Kev i think a text is coming about a diffuser haha.

Bowders is there a guide to the diffuser? what is it from?

Love bowders roof and a big fan of the black grill surrounds. Wow I guess it's time I had another chat with the wife about parts I "need" :-).

Or to get bored with the idea of and then send to me.

Looks great.

Not sure should have put vRS badges on though. :)

  • Author

Thanks. The badges were available so I just took em. and truth be told who is gonna bother questioning it in mY everyday schedule? They look good, and on the outside now, very little if anything seperates mine from a vrs. Except maybe the fuel needle staying put longer

Not bad, maybe shouldve spent a bit more time getting the cutout right?

It is a little out, but I think that's more the exhaust orientation, the gap is straight and true. A small tail pipe adjustment needed.

very big and good difference. you say finished but im sure you will have spotted something else your after and be back one weekend haha

Good job buddie :)

Looking cool

And black roofs im all for :D

Yeah, I blacked my grill last week, it completely transforms the front end. I used Matt black vinyl wrap from ebay, very tricky job but worth it. (ignore the quattro badge, it looked ok on when grill was chrome)

Just need to sort the rear end, it looks bland in its standard guise.

Thanks man, may go for a black vinyl roof

Love it Lofty.

Personally, I would remove the door bump-stops... All depends what people are like parking near you! Oh and remove the rear wiper.

Free and simple mods but would finish the car perfect for me. +1 for the black roof also.

(Of course it's your choice and your car.)

Wont remove the side strips as at some point a door has been resprayed and i dont know what lurks beneath, could be horrible paint lines. Although may do it to see and then replace if i dont like it.

what like this one! lol

Do it mate.. Me and Rob wrapped mine. was a total ball ache but deffo worth buying the clever wrapping film over normal black gloss vinyl.

  • Author

well haha, i have connections in the local council that make road signs with the heavy duty cast vinyl, and have a wide array of colours through all metallics, and they do cars on the side for some hipper cash.

They said the vinyl is of the best quality and holds a ten year guaruntee, and would do it for £50 which is a little more than the vinyl costs. They gave me a sample of vinyl as an exact colour match to my car, stuck it on panel above rub strip under boot on rear bumper where its a bit scratched and its glossy and you cant even see the edges its mad stuff

just make sure it is the Air release stuff or you will have dramas wrapping :)

Thanks for the advice, but theyll be doing the wrapping, they love doing more than just flat bits of metal  , should see a van they wrapped for someones business, it was astonishing, the cutting plotter they have can design fantastic .......well......designs.

if i do go ahead ill be sure to whore it up on the forum, after all i am your protege of sorts :giggle:
