Taking the car to france

Featured Replies

Thinking of taking the car for a day trip to france. Anyone know what the Skoda Assist number for France is? (preferably in a format that can be dialed from a UK mobile).

I assume the cover is valid for 3 years, as in the UK?

Anyone had experience of the system - do they just return you to the ferry port and let you sort it out in the UK?

Not that I'm paranoid...

Thanks!

Skoda UK site has all the info you need says your covered for first 3 years as per UK numbers are in this booklet for France/Monaco on page 5

I would imagine this is the same booklet that should be with your other car books that came with car manual etc it explains it well if you haven't got it just print out the entire link below it talks about how you may have to use a motorway emergency phone and pay company that tows you but keep recipts to claim back off them when home as some you may have to use the phones not arrange your own on mobile etc.

here is a link to the specific bit scroll down to France and enjoy trip

An excellent idea. Always a good destination. Just looking up cheap Eurostar deals to Paris, £140 for 3 nights.

Slightly back to topic, Boulogne and environs has a shed load of very good restaurants, and at lunch you can eat in a proper Michelin star place for not much more than a McDoh (as they are called).
