Ps Vita owners. Am i the only one?

If Sony weren't so greedy with all their proprietary 80110ck5 (the memory cards being a prime example) then maybe more people would have bought one. The problem with most Sony tech is that once you have it, it's not interoperable with anything else and all the peripherals have to come from Sony and are extortionate (Apple and Microsoft are also guilty of this), such as Sony's Memory Stick in all of its million different incompatible form factors, instead of using SD like everyone.

Especially if they dont support it. Its early days yet so im still hoping they do. It will come down to money ultimately. If they can make more by expoiting the casual gaming market why bother catering for hardcore gamers especially considering they already do anyway with the PS3.

What we need is a handheld device that works like a laptop with a docking station. Would serve as your main console when connected up at home to the TV but could be unplugged and played as a handheld when on the move. Vita isnt a million miles away from being powerful enough to do this so maybe in a few years? Again im kinda kidding myself as im expecting sony and microsoft to cater to my individual needs but it would suit me down to the ground. Maybe the smartphones and tablets will be capable of running hardcore games in a few years but ultimately they dont offer the control scheme a proper handhels console does. Touchscreens are only any use for casual games and are frickin useless for proper gaming.

I think you are on to something.

I think the future is in personalised all purpose devices. Phone, personal computing, hand held gaming. This would connet wirelessly to large screens, keboards, HID of all sorts like mice, steering wheels, motion sensors. YOu'd carry one device to rule them all ;) My preciousss....

Put a couple of hours into assassins creed 3 on the vita last night. Its really good. Feels just like a proper console assassins creed game. This is what this handheld needs, more games like this. Need for speed most wanted is getting good reviews on the vita also saying it has all the content the big consoles have and still looks almost as good. Seriously tempted to get this as well.

Fingers crossed this continues. If the game is made well it is a viable option to buy the vita version as opposed to the xbox / ps3 version. You cant get a better accolade than that for a handheld IMO.

Ultimately time will tell how the vita fares but at least it has now been proven that it is a capable device all we need is this support to continue.

Anyone else liking the look of NFS most wanted? Probably a tricker descision as a purchase for xbox owners due to the arrival of horizon but i honestly think i will buy NFS for vita before i consider horizon on the xbox.
