auto headlights and wipers

Featured Replies

As above can the fabia do these

Nope, was never even an option. I dont even think those are an option on the latest Fabia, for autowipers and lights you need at least a MK2 Octavia.

To be honest, you're not missing much.

I have both on my Octavia, and I always have the auto lights switched off and just turn them on manually.....I find them way too conservative, the lights come on even on a dull day. The auto wipers are slightly more useful.......good in daylight, but inconsistent at night.....you can adjust the sensitivity on the stalk, but that defeats the purpose.

Korban's coming home light system could be used for auto-lights - I've got it running in my Polo. A search should help.

Personally, I think they're OK. I don't rely on them, but you can adjust the level of darkness needed to activate them. Where they really become useful IMO is when they're built in, like the BMW, and they turn the lights on when it starts raining hard etc (one less thing to forget!).

Not sure if I'd pay for them though, having got both currently.

Had them on a hire car in France (Citroen C4) and the lights didn't come on when I would have put them on i.e. grey day and it was raining.
