What would you pay for a 10 Plate 1.2 TSI Estate?

Featured Replies

Thinking of leaving the fold for a Ford S-Max. Would like a seven seater and it seems the best option. Really upset Skoda don't do one! If they ever do I will be back in an instant.

Anyway Ford dealer offered my £5.8k for my 30k mile 1.2 TSI (85 bhp) SE Estate, has the safety pack (ESP and cornering lights). Going to go around a few dealers but to me seems a little low to me.

Have never sold a car privately before but tempted to try it if they don't budge much on price. Do you think I would get much more?

You could have a look at a 'SEAT', 7 seater Alhambra, 150 ps petrol manual or DSG

& 3 different outputs of diesel in manual or DSG

(At least worth visiting a SEAT dealership to see what their Trade in offer is.)

No harm trying to get a 'Private Sale' if you can. You will know the best you can expect chopping in anyway.

All mechanically pretty much the same as a Skoda,

sometimes a little ahead in the technology as they seem to try it out on SEAT before Skoda before it gets to Audi or VW.

Other times its the tried and tested stuff on the SEAT, and good value..

The dealer could add £1000 to £2000 on the forecourt

Seemingly, Thats why they are car dealers, its what they do.

Put on a forecourt with an asking price & someone sees it for sale,

comes in with a Trade in or not and expects to pay a bit less than the asking price, or get a good price on their car.

Funnily some people just pay the asking price.

It is what makes the world go around.

Buy, sell, make a profit & buy and sell some more. Employ people and pay them money to be able to buy things.
