Do back seats recline in all models ?

Featured Replies

I would like to known, is it possible to reline the Roomster back seats in the earlier models? Is this an optional extra or standard ?

Also is it possible to move the seats backwards and forwards in older models ?

Any help with be greatfully received.

I apparently have one of the 2006 manufactured ones, the rear seats slide forwards and backwards. They do not recline, but I don't know if the new ones do

Yes they do recline.

grafitti, what model do you have ? I am interested to known when the reclining seats were intorduced, or is this down to the model level? I was looking at a "new" Roomster yesterday and was impressed with the relining and moving back seats. I can not afford a new Roomy and so will look at Roomy 3 1.9 tdi approx 2007 as that seems to be in my price range.

It depends on what you mean by "recline".

Mine is 2009 and the rear seats slide forwards and backwards. It is possible to adjust (recline?) the rakes of the backrests by a few degrees only. They do not "recline" to the same extent that the front seats recline (i.e. all the way to horizontal). The backrests fold forwards to horizontal for load carrying. I think you'll find all Roomsters are the same, although I would be happy to stand corrected.

Hope this helps.

I'm with you Robjon. My 2008 Roomy Scout and the father-in-laws 2007 poverty spec both have the same seating capability.

I guess they can be adjusted a few degrees, but I wouldn't say they recline. They do slide forward and back, and of course fold forward 90 degrees.

Then again, if you tried a new one and it fit your definition, you would probably find the old one the same.

I have a Roomster 2 2006 model on an 07 plate, now am using rear seats from a newer SE model, and they seem identical to the original ones.
