Mk1 vRS pipercross viper induction

Featured Replies

Hi! Just bought a viper induction kit for my vrs but It looks like it may need a tad bit of modding to get it to fit,

Does anyone have pics of an engine bay fitted with one? To get an idea on how to do it?

Also anyone know the diameter of the pipe that the MAF is on? The air induction pipe. Because I'm looking at doing something like this ----> ( http://www.mikesatur.com/archivesite/images/zspipercross2.jpg )

I know that engine bay isn't a vrs but I want a similar setup AKA a corner piece of silicone pipe and run it between the engine and battery. But I may need a reducer also so just need some dimensions! Cheers guys

Found it! (Myself). A good old tape measure told me that the air intake (standard black plastic one) is a 3" pipe and the pipercross viper kit is 2.5" so had to buy a reducer. Just for anyone's future reference! Cheers for nothin guys! :p

May sound daft but a smaller intake surely that's defeating the object of a induction kit with a narrow intake ? Would have thought a larger diameter intake reduced to the Skoda intake would be better suited for power increase ? Or am I talking drivell ?
