Reverse Gear and Fan Speed

Featured Replies

Is it just me of does the heater fan change speed when I select reverse?

All Skoda vehicles do this, it is the re-circulation function kicking in to stop the exhaust fumes being sucked into the car when you reverse through them!

+1, it does that to help prevent exhaust gasses being introduced to the cabin.

Wow. It's alive!

Also be aware that if the front wipers are on and you select reverse..........

........the rear wiper activates by itself!!!!!!

SHOULD activate by itself - mine only activates maybe once every 5 times. Last Octy worked fine - not this one though. I wonder if it is something to do with the DSG. They must have built in some kind of delay in the reverse detector because you have to go through R on the way from P to D.

mine definitely turns on every time... wish there was some easy way to switch it off, when I've got a bike rack on the rear window...
