Passenger seat belt

Featured Replies

I've had my Blackline for a few days now and I've noticed that the cable that holds the drivers seatbelt socket (the bit you place the buckle into) to the seat/floor has something similar to black shrink- wrap on it, however the passenger side is just bare painted metal below the plastic buckle itself. Is this normal or have Skoda forgotten a bit of trim on the passenger side of mine? It seems strange as it can rub directly onto the leather seat but I don't want to look a fool at the dealer off they are all the same.

Doesn't it cover the wires to the seatbelt buckle switch.

Shameless cost-saving, only reason there's one on the driver's side is to hide the warning cable.

Just did a Google search for this as mine is the same, wondered if a bit was missing too.

Glad you asked, seems I'm not alone! (Just a bit slow at looking into the issue after 18 months!)

What's the most common work-around for this on the forum?

Don't think many people bother really but a bit of heat-shrink black insulation tape would do the job.
