Featured Replies

Been looking for a handsfree kit etc and to possibly bluetooth my iphone to my stereo i was comtemplatign takign my soundsystem out of my landrover (alpine ehad unti 2x12" sub 2000w amp and 8 speakers ) but tbh the system in the car is ample just want connectivity so any one advise me on these parrot kits? seems alot to choose from

The kits I like are the Parrot LS3200. You can get refurbs off Ebay for ~£50 and they have never failed me. It should fit straight in yours without any adapter kits too.

thats a kit im bidding on atm . I it as easy as appears just unplug the radio put this into the rear of the radio hide the wires etc and its done?

I had one on my previous B5.5 Passat (same base car) and yes, that was just pull the radio, plug the kit in between and slot the whole thing back in. The hard part is routing the microphone to somewhere useful. I always clip them to the top of the trim in the A pillar, running it up the door seals there.

I forgot to mention, you will probably need some radio keys (hooks for undoing the latches and pulling it out), which are a couple of quid on ebay too.

i got radio keys :) got a kit of them :) sweet it is as easy as i was thinking just seemed far to easy lol

It took about 10 minutes to get the kit out of my Passat and then about 2 hours to get it into my Octavia II (why does it not have a removable split tray thing under the radio!?! Had to use a hacksaw). Then did a 9N Polo a week later and that took 15 mins from start to finish.
