hi guys

the wife has a 2008 Mini Cooper manual

she has damage to her shoulder and is getting injections but finds herself in pain when driving manual (we are a pair of left shoulder whingers lol)

so

im looking at getting her a Fabia 2

i know they only come in petrol

im looking at about a 2008

she only does short journeys (school run/shopping) with maybe a 40 mile motorway trip every month

any advice on what to look out for would be greatly appreciated

1.6 16v Petrol Auto

Conclusion - That bloody Mini gearbox. Girlfriends sister has an 09 cooper and trying to put that f***er in reverse is a pain in the backside.

Get a vrs

SWMBO loves the vRS.

I'd imagine yours would be VERY grateful if you bought her one ;-)

My wife is not one for speed and has never found it appealing, but I think she'd need surgery to part her from her vRS

That one's almost identical to my wife's, we bought hers new in 08.

The only niggles have been the drivers door stay fixing on the body end comming loose, needs tighening about once a year and the one shot driver window close needing a reset occasionally. It's been a very good car.

we went out today and she chose her next car

she chose a Ford Fusion+

5k miles like new and they gave me what i wanted for her Mini

so if she is happy i suppose i am (talking through gritted teeth)

i wanted her to have a Fabia 2 but she didnt like the ones we looked at :wonder:
