Hi All,

After 20 odd year of driving around in BMW's Audi's and VW's I have finally got around to looking forward to being a Skoda owner and the trusty (but boring) VW Passat 130 Tdi Sport is now ready to be traded in for a new Octavia Tdi 140 Elegance estate with as many extras as the salesman could fit on the form.

My wife changed her Audi estate for a new Fabia Tdi Elegance estate three years ago and for the first time we have had two cars the same age .

The Passat has not stood the test of time nearly as well as the Fabia (Which still looks as good as new). So off to my local dealer in Perthshire where I was easily convinced.

Saw the cover of the brochure, liked the colour, likes the wheels, placed the order.

The forum has proved a valuable source of info since the brochures are really poor at describing the extras.

The car has been on this side of the water for almost a fortnight now and it was expected last Friday at the dealership (Friday 13th) but no sign, hopefully this week..........
