Default screen for Maxidot

Featured Replies

Hi

Odd question that I don't seem to be able to find an answer here, the manual or Google.

When I turn on the ignition etc. maxidot fires up and goes to the MFD screen. All normal and as it should do. Then the phone connects on bluetooth and in the past, has gone straight back to the MFD screen. Now, whenever the phone connects, it stays on the phone screen.

Is this normal for everyone or is there a way to choose which is the default screen?

I know it's just a simple push of a button to change it, but it's just bugging me a bit.

Thanks

My old Superb MK2 used to do this as well, although it never did it when I first got the car. Never did find a way to stop it, so just flicked the controls to get to the MFD screen.

Same here, if phone connects, MFD show's Phone signal/media, hit the return button and it gets back to MFD last screen.

mine stays on whatever screen it was on - usually mfd oil temp.

so when the phone connects, there is no change to the maxitdot screen.

the only indication i have that phone is connecting, is on the columbus. a little pop up box would state it's connected to device x.

unless i specifically press the "phone" button on the mfsw - it won't display the phone menu on the maxidot.

Cheers guys. As I say, it's not a biggie but got me curious.

Mine has started doing this in the past few weeks.... Are you guys still having the issue or did you discover how to get it to behave as it should?

Might ask at the dealers next time i'm there and point out it's not behaving as normal as it's started happening after i got the car and ask if the back/menu button will be replaced free if it fails prematurely with me having to press it every time i use the car.
