What's next for the octy

Evening all !

I've got £400ish to spend on the vrs :) I've done mainly engine mods so far so I think it's time I sorted the suspension ! I thought it handled quite well compared to previous motors but from readin on here a rarb Makes it a whole lot better but I'm thinking about changing the shocks/springs coz it's done 120k and had a hard life before I rescued it ! So I'm after ppls thoughts and recommendations on what I should be aiming for and what works best on these within my budget :)

Weitec coilovers are good nice n firm not harsh at all combined with a rarb they are really good

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

160 for a whiteline rarb 24mm(a must)

Keep looking out for some good weitec coilies and get new top mounts n bearings nuts n bolts? Bushes n things too.

Can you do these yourself?

Just keep saving up but def get a rarb. Even on the old crap you on now it will really make a difference.

Have you fitted them yet raf?

what about body mods and add-ons ?

Yes mate I can do it at work :) I nearly bought the jom coilovers last nite but I've read mixed reviews on them . Everythin else I've seen is around the 400 mark just for the coil overs :S

I'm on the look out for a vrs rear bumper as mines a standard one and changing the front grills will be in the new year me thinks

I've fitted them Billy, they are really good :D

A vrs rear bumper is exactly the same as a normal one apart from the exhaust cut out which is an easyish job to do

Ya cut it yourself.

Dont get cheap coilies. In this area you really get what you pay for. Weitecs minimum really.

Glad you like raf lol. Awesome feel when at std ish hight rrally firm it up n make it feel more sturdy

Yet the ride is just right, it's like having proper Audi sports suspension but without the harshness

Really ?? I thought they were different lol !!! Shows what I know :/ . I'll sort out the rarb for now then and save up some more for the coilies ...

If I had £400 I wouldn't be wasting it on cheap suspension.

Change every bush in the thing and get to work on either R32 or aftermarket ARBs.

If you still feel you NEED coilies after that, save up, but I'd be surprised.
