  • I'm only 21, so hardly old! I am a miserable git though!

  • I have just found the BESTEST sticker in the whole wide world *pinch of salt added* http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turbo-Dose-Pigeon-warning-sticker-HKS-t51r-t04z-/220581128233?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_Ca

  • Diesel = ****e noise

Sounds proper ****e, and chav. At the end of the day it's a flipping diesel, which means it sounds crap anyway. Why the hell would you want to make it sound even worse with stupid owl noises is beyond me.

I like Owls. The exhaust noise can be cool too and I am the least chavvy person in the world!

Owl noise

Roar from exhaust

I'd love to have it...

But only if it could be turned off.

All diesels should be silenced to be as quiet as possible, and the engine bay filled with expanding foam to damp the noise from there as well.

That made me laugh out loud!!!

Don't the words "owl" or "pidgeon" to describe an exhaust tell you something!!!

All the standard VAG cars I've noticed are quite low even with a standard exhaust for the owl noise especially for the first few seconds after starting.

Woaa! If i could get an exhaust that made my ibiza sound like that!! I'd buy it...

**** me pink! That sounds almost exotic!

EDIT: Then i heard it on the road :( Did he almost hit that truck too?

shame we dont own 3.0 v6 tdis they are bound to sound alot better.

yes he was a tad close to the truck haha.

Would of been a famous "watch this!" moment.

  • 4 weeks later...

After having a hybrid pd150 fitted my car doesn't make the sound anymore :( had a look on the web and it seems to be down to the way it's mapped :(

I like the noise! it subtle enough for you to hear it but not so loud it makes a chavy statement like our focus St does (misses will hate that)

i also ordered that sticker...

lol how can i get this noise!? im one of those ppl who likes to annoy other easily annoyed ppl! :p

On a standard turbo, I went for a de-cat milltek and a panel filter, mine was quite loud :)

I have a pd150 hybrid and it doesnt make the noise either :( i have no cat or boxes :(

Mine doesn't do it at all even after both silencers and cat removed :(

As a side effect of fitting a sports exhaust, it's maybe an interesting side effect.

To go out and buy an exhaust specifically to replicate it seems a bit too :-
