Pressure Drop

Featured Replies

Driving along on Friday night, on my way to the supermarket, when the engine warning light came on but it didn't go into limp mode.

Phoned the dealers who hooked it up to the diagnostics, came back with a coupl eof errors, think they were 17103 & 17104, one of them indicating a pressure drop in the Turbo system and the other one not in the book.

Glad its under warranty but conderned that its a Y reg vRS with only 29k on the clock and there could be a potential turbo replacement.

Anyone else had this typ eo fproblem or know what the other error code is?

How can a Y reg still be under warranty?

Are all your boost hoses intact?

Dump valve IIRC

Nick, maybe an extended warranty through a dealer / insurance?

Not 100% that the codes are correct, doing them from memory, but they were in sequence.

I bought it 2nd hand from the dealer so its Skoda used warranty

The search button is your friend http://www.briskoda.net/forums/search.php?searchid=817741

Try searching for "error code 17704"

I had a lot of trouble with this code. It relates to the coolant system - probably the thermostat, or possibly the water pump. I had both replaced under warranty, along with expansion bottle and coolant level sensor on my old Octy. Since then, the engine temp sender has been replaced also.

I didn't have the 17705 code, but from what GAFF said above, try the DV.
