Bugger - Anyone ever got any compo from Skoda?

Featured Replies

Noticed last night that I had several patches of oil on my newly laid and very expensive block paved driveway!!

Thought where the hell is that coming from, only our cars use it and they're both almost new, it couldn't possibly - could it??

Well yes it bloody could!!!

My car has sprung an oil leak from the Oil Filter housing (Thats what I think the dealer is telling me).

Took it round there today and they need it for at least 3 days while they get the parts in etc. To be fair the garage have been great, and got me another car straight away - still the old chestnut of paying the fee for a loaner whilst mine is off the road for warranty work though.

Phoned Skoda this afternoon and tackled them over it but they weren't overly receptive. I expect they'll call me back when they get round to it.

Anyone else had this problem?? Anyone got any compo from Skoda before??

I'm not sure what is gonna be the best way to approach it yet.

I always get a free courtesy car from my dealer, as long as I mention I need one whilst they do work on it.

Not 100% expected for free but regardless, it does make me want to spend my hard-earned cash with them rather than with those who make you pay.

Hopefully you'll be able to get something sorted.

You may be able to clean it off with some type of dedicated cleaning stuff, not sure what though but I'm guessing someone on this site must have had incidents with their oil at one point or another.

You can definitely buy stuff which absorbs oil but you tend to need to use that pretty quickly before it gets absorbed.

How bad is it?
