I have a silver vrs, and have a toffee wheels when removing these is it likely that I'll remove the paint or it will look **** underneath?

I've read conflicting things on here especially with silver cars?

what were the best easily available chemicals to use when doing it?

All the silver ones I've heard of on the forum have had bubbling paint underneath the glue! Mine is red and I removed mine luckily all was well

That's what I'm worried about.

I keep thinking about taking mine off but then i read all the negative comments and it puts me off. I suppose it might be a case of just do it and hope for the best.

My 2006 silver with 50k miles was badly bubbled under, ended up getting the car resprayed on that side.

I brought a toffee wheel to remove the side strips on my 05 silver fabia, but after pulling one off and seeing the bubbling underneath I stuck it back on and gave up!

You could give them a coat of gloss black or CC'd them, at least they'd look a bit better!

Even plasti-dip would work!
