Fabia now handles alot better!

Featured Replies

Fitted a Seat sport strut brace and whiteline rear ARB and the handling has been transformed!!! Steering feels tighter and more precise and the backend has lost that unstable feel when hammering it into corners. Very happy!!!

Will be my next upgrades also. Done the 256mm rear brakes and 312mm front brakes, so handling will be next!

Was the rear anti-roll bar easy to install?

How much does it cost? Im budgeting about £150 and around £70 maybe for the strut brace.

The whiteline bars are a doddle to do.

The weight of the car must be on the rear suspension when fitting

so ramps are preferable or a platform lift if you have access to one.

Never fitted a Jabba one so can't comment on that.

I always thought the mikalor clamps on those were a bit pony.

You get good strong 'U' bolts with the whiteline one.

When fitting the strut brace assuming you can get the nuts undone

without shearing them off (Not cool and it does happen) make sure you give them

a good coating of copper slip before refitting them, and don't over tighten them

as they can shear off being tightened too. Torque wrench is useful but off hand

I can't remember the setting for retightening. Can't say I used one on mine,

I managed with just a half inch drive socket set and a bit of care.

Yeah, i have a 4 poster ramp i can use and all the tools under the sun!

Shame i still managed to pull the threads out of the hub today fitting my 312mm front brakes.

Car isnt really driveable anymore since the brake carrier could fly off any minute with the caliper... A whole new hub is now needed.

Bu99er! Bad luck old chap :(

I know, typical... One job turns into another one!

The torque figure is 125nm i belive but this one stripped around 70nm at a guess.

I dont know what part i need to replace exactly... Do you or anyone els happen to have a diagram of a full front hup assembly

Scrap that, its the n/s/f wheel bearing housing i need. Part number: 6Q0407255S

Heli-coil?

Never done it myself and didnt think i could get it done to take up to 125nm of torque. Also in a tight awkward space so dont know if its possible?
