My friend has the superskoda honeycomb grille FL(without latch cutout). I see there are a few ways of getting this so you can still open the bonet. I was just wondering what was the easiest and most effective method.

If you take the bent plastic end off the bonet catch to shorten it a bit, can you push the lever up by putting your finger through the grille?

Or is it just best to cut the hole out the grille and have done with it?

What have you guys tried on yours?

Having read a few posts most cut the release so it fits through one of the honeycomb sections. Personally for the money Id expect a better arrangment!

On the Milotec grilles you cut down the lever so it doesn't protude through the grille and you reach behind and release.

Take a look on there website as you can view fitting instructions. Personally I wouldn't cut the honeycomb grille as it wouldn't look right after.

I just bent the little lever to the right a little bit, works fine
