Got the print out from the dealer and he told me the name of the system, all very helpful apart from full identification of the parts!

**** lists 3 different part numbers for the sump guard petrol-engined Fabias depending on engine and chassis number. Only one is listed for the diesel engine - 6Q0 018 906Q. Some of the fitting parts - ie retainer, carrier, and hexagon head bolt c/w shoulder - vary with chassis number. You definitely need to confirm the right parts with your dealer.
