How easy is it to remove standard CD player in 2004 Classic Octavia and fit Sony head unit?

easy, just remove the headunit with headunit removal keys, or a hacksaw blade broke in half, slotted into place, with pressure the blade/keys unlock the tabs inside allowing the stereo to be removed and disconnected.

You will need to swap the yellow and red wires (permanent and switched live connections) and disconnect the blue wire or it will put 12V through the OBDII port.
