I want one of these.

i think this makes the engine bay look much tidier. if it was an easy mod i would consider doing it.

Mines a 55 plate BLT and does have a cover on also. Registered 06

That top bit is only about 5 pounds from the dealers.

It's not easy to get it to fit perfectly though, I gave up and plan to make some kind of slip over box or relocate it to the boot

Dan i would check your engine code, my 55 plate is an asz engine.

I will check it in a minute! I bloody hope it's an ASZ then I can get an EGR delete.

I hope I've not got mixed up between the 2 as my mate has a PD130 Bora which we've been working on etc.

Dont know if its possible but have you guys thought about fitting a battery cover from a vauxhall? They seem pretty universal fit tbh, would still tidy up the engine bay.

I'd happily change the whole box/tray over to one from an ASZ engined car to have the bay looking tidy. I might look into it and see if the newer battery will fit in the older tray.

Me too. I think it looks miles better personally.

I've got a full battery box, tray, cover thing etc.. Came off a 1.4 silverline iirc... Never checked for fitting though, would be another thing to add to the saturday afternoon jobs...

*clean and paint calipers

*fit sub and amp in boot

*clean car inside and out (still finding things from the previous owner!)
