I have a 55 Plate VRS that had a bluapunkt DX series Sat-Nav factory fitted. The surround for this was painted the same colour as the rest of the plastic trim on VRS a light silver. Because my missis is a bit hand fisted with the controls and invarably has long finger nails and sharp rings its got a bit scratched up around the volume controls. Now that i have band her from driving it i have decided to either respray or wrap the facia. Question is i think this is quite a rare ish facia panel so has anyone got any removal instructions seeing as the haynes workshop manual still isnt available for this car. I would normally just start prying at the plastic 'suck it n see' style but thats gotten me more than my fair share of broken clips. So it would be a big help if someone has any pointers. I'll try and get some photo's up if possible.

The radio surround simply clips in around the edge of the radio. Removal is dead easy, open ashtray and if you feel around the underside of the surround you will locate the lower edge of the trim. Now grasp this and pull towards you, and work your way around the edge. The most awkward point is the upper edge, pull and it will release but don't be afraid.

It looks like its same colour shape but says radio trim & not Nav Trim are they same part / dims. ?

Well Decided to Repaint the old scuffed silver one in Matt Black as a test.

What do you all think?

Im going to take off the door silver strips aswell anyone know of a giude to help with removal clip locations etc?
