19 inchers Too hard to live with SOOOOOOO -Flipped em.

Featured Replies

As some had advised these dont really suit the car, and after living with them for a few days the ride was far too hard, and she was quite choppy on them.

Soooooo, i refurbed them and put em up for swaps, and got offered some RS4's (reps) with brand new tyres, it appears on the vag scene the 19's hold quite a big appeal, my svag pm box was burning.

These seemed the best of the bunch. 18 inch Et38 225/45's

What do you recon folks? Better than the A8's? Haha

Cheers guys, and Lloyd, the roads up here are really good. I think the fundamental difference between 19's on mine and on yours, is about 27k miles

get ally tape and blank them center caps out thats what i done on the rs8 reps

I think im use to harder rides too... 20s before them... Mk2 golf wound to the tyres before that :D

Hehe

I did try to use it more but i broke it :(

looks nuts. i have a soft spot for RS4 rims old and new.

Good move Lofty!

oh yea....I bet the 18s are fluff compared to 19s :giggle::rofl:

Why did you removed the diaphragms on your headlights?

Thanks Gee man, im very pleased with them, they were advertised at £350 with new tyres and out the box condition, but the boy so keen on 19's he went straight swap, all i had to do was dangle the carrot.

seasachc ive got plans for my centres, heres what im putting in instead ~ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALLOY-WHEEL-AUDI-A2-A4-A6-RS4-RS6-A5-A8-CENTRE-CAP-BADGES-9-cm-9cm-90mm-90-mm-/160882388534?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2575566e36

make the wheels look more OE

Iulian haha, it has made quite a difference to ride, maybe better brand of tyres but alot softer ride, at least i feel it, and i dont know about the headlights i picked em up cheap.

Motor looks good Lofty! Like the new wheels, pity u can't get Skoda centres for them. Maybe Pasty could do u some customs?

And how did u tint the tail light? I like them! :)

Ah i see. Well it doesn't seem to affect the beam anyway and it passed the mot.

I thought you removed them for a better beam.

BTW...where can I get a briskoda stiker for the hood, like yours?

Don't know whether it would improve it or not. Would it?

I don't really think so...it helps making the beam sharper, defined and not spread all over the place

I have aftermarket xenons and the bulb itself has an extra diaphragm, and the beam is very sharp....but the glare effect is still present because of the big mirror.

I was studing the subaru forester headlamp ,OEM xenons with mirror headlamps, the diaphragm is very similar to mine, but the mirror is much smaller, like 3 times smaller, and they still glare, but alot less, not disturbing

Keep them wheels they look awesome :)
