Firstly please tell me if iay be ruining my car haha as yes led number plate lights can look tacky.

After seeing new bmw 3 series and mercedes etc i like the neat white led number plate lights they have.

Is it possible to put them on my 2012 octavia vrs?

I've got them on my 2006 octavia sport, I think they look so much cleaner and nicer than original yellow bulbs.

I've got canbus friendly ones fitted, so I don't get a bulb warning error.

Are they reasonably bright at night too?

Yeah, can't find any night pics at the moment.

They are as bright as any other BMW/Audi/Mercedes that has them as standard

You will need VCDS to do it not maxidot.

surely you just need a set which are canbus error free. mylitco on ebay do loads of canbus error free stuff.

Im going to be upgrading my reversing bulbs to Cree Q5 led's. I did with my civic and the output was fantastic

so you'll get errors even with "no canbus error" bulbs?

No errors as the controller is designed to run with LED bulbs

2012 onwards its a doddle, tick the box and the jobs done. Same option is not available on pre 2012 FL models.

Only way around it is piggy back a normal bulb in to the holder or resistor.

Or buy them from decante? At around £69 euros

this is why i mentioned mylitco on ebay. their bulbs have resistors and certainly arent that pricey

That's what I was on about in my 1st post, mine have load resistors built onto the board, so are canbus friendly.

Are you trying to say they these still wont work on a 2012 octavia?

I think that even canbus LED's still have issues on the later FL.
