HEADLIGHTS

Featured Replies

Ive just fitted a pair of osram nightbreaker plus dipped/low beam H7 bulbs.

The problem is that they look no better than the cheap bulbs that i removed.

it seems to me that magnifying lens is a yellowly colour.

does anyone know if clear replacements are available?

In my experience better bulbs make barely any difference.

HID all the way although some people have strong opinions. As long as they're not stupid bright chav ones I see no problem.

the thing is, are there any Legal HID Conversion kits available i cannot stand these HID kits that just seem to dazzle you.

all my previous cars have not had hid lamps and they performed much better/more vision.

Yeah certain cars seem to vary a lot. My Mum has a 12 plate Peugeot 5008 which has halogen, you may as well drive with no lights the vision is so poor. I fitted Osram nightbreakers but there was very little difference. But my old Mazda 3 had excellent headlights and they were halogen, but again the night brokers made a very small difference.

Xenon all the way. I do agree though that some HID kits are ridiculous and unfortunately none are legal.

You need to fit relays to see any significant change. Take power directly from the battery.

Unfortunately, when a projector lens is used it seems some of the light output is lost in the unit. I've had halogen light systems without projectors that are good, this is the first car I've had with projectors and it seems they could be better.....
