Anyone like to hazard a guess as to what output my vRS will have after the following mods have been completed... ??

1,Full Milltek Exhaust system inc sport cats

2,Jabbasport Intake System

3,Bailey Dump Valve

4,Jabbasport Remap

Vehicle has exlcusively used SuperPlus Unleaded throughtout it's short life,gets a thorough work out at least twice a week

and is driven "Making progress suitable to surroundings & conditions" most of the time.....

Am sure above will make a big difference to drive - even if numbers don't fly - seem to remember seeing something about actual BHP not being important - just how & when produced.

i'll start the ball rolling at 230bhp

305Nm.

I agree, would have expected more torque, most of the remaps on 'fairly' standard cars have been between 300-315 Nm. Either that or it can hold the torque for longer throughout the rev range?

As i said before I was surprised at your bhp figures, having seen yours in action.

PS Check out DaveU's figures.

Dave's car is decatted however it was a very hot day and low ambient pressure so I reckon it's a bit more.

Mine gave 214bhp and only 289NM but it was even hotter and the pressure lower still in the afternoon.:( Mike reckons I also had a bad batch of Optimax. So cool(er) day and good fuel I reckon figures of around 220bhp+ and at least 300NM (...where's the fingers crossed icon).

Manny was getting 227bhp with full Milltek and unleaded so the 230bhp mark would be totally consistant.

To go slightly off topic.....

Des, do you have the ABD CAI kit fitted? If so did you require a second, "mini" filter, also?

I would say 235-240bhp, weather permitting. But does it really matter ?

If I asked for a conservative, unleaded-only remap in flaming June and got 220bhp /310nm, then I shouldn't worry too much !

I keep repeating this, but people do seem to get fixated with the absolute figures. That is not what it is about - it's the way it drives that matters.

A good example was the obsession on Scoobynet with Imprezas - the turbo spool up and torque delivery in the low and mid range mattered a LOT more than whether it had 240,250 or 260 bhp.

I saw a write up on the 301BHP EVO VIII in my dealer yesterday (they're a Mitsubishi/Skoda/Kia dealer) - and decided I'm having one when I get a LOT of money...

Who cares? Look at the area under the lines, far more important as to how it drives.

Must add that despite the figures I got when remapped, I'm more than pleased with the way the car drives and that's what matter.

Can't loose really - I love the way the car drives now - so it can only be better....

No I haven't, no kits in the country as yet and most newish 18T's will need the mini filter.
