My Superb Estate just swallowed our old 3 seater sofa whole, boot shut like normal.

Superb ain't it.

careful, you'll be stirring up some boot envy.

When I bought my Mk I, for a price I couldn't refuse, I got confused in my head by the ridiculously low price.

I thought the Mk I had the same boot access as the Mark II. So now I've got a brilliant motor with a saloon body with a boot that won't accept a single item bigger than one of SWMDO's handbags.

Ah well, after 18 months I start to guess I'll get used to it

Couldnt believe it. Our sofa came on the Wednesday and we had our local homeless unit take it the old one awsy on the Thursday but when they turned up they wouldnt take it because the fire retardant stickers were missing. So we put it in the close, phoned the council for a special lift. But they couldnt come for 2 weeks so after a couple if days I thought stuff it Im going to try get it in the boot even if I have to tie the boot lid down.

BUT is swallowed the 3 seater whole

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk whilst in a taxi rank
You simply cannot beat a big ass estate car. Even if i didnt have a dog i would still prefer an estate. Why not? They dont take up any more space on the road so why not have the extra capacity at your disposal when its needed. This plus generally i think modern estates look better than the saloon or hatchback versions irrespective of car make. Just my opinion though.

Agree, and the Superb is one of the best looking estates on the road at present.

Colleague has recently had a BMW 5 Series as a company car, picked a saloon. We mocked him as he should have had an estate - second child is now on the way and he totally regrets the saloon, estates are just so much more practicable.

Managed to get a kingsize bed& mattress in my mates octavia estate! Great for trips to ikea.

I've never understood why someone would buy a saloon.
