Featured Replies

Which size is best? And is adjustable best?

:)

All good :D

What your budget mate

My whiteline transformed the handling , i had it on hole 3

My eibach is red and out the way :D

whiteline are 22 or 24, good i you want to use stock front arb, not the best quality compared to

eibach 25mm good with stock front, better with 23mm r32 arb

neuspeed and autotech 25mm same as above...

better still for all out handling 28mm autotech or neuspeed....with the r32 front..awesome setup...though a proper drivers setup, will bite you if you lift off..

i will have a r32 farb and nuespeed 28mm rarb up for sale soon

lol

dont tempt me!

Had thought about just going for a rear one for now.

Would prefer to spend the £150ish mark like the whitelines are but if its definatly worth spending the etc then could consider it!

How much clive ?

Might start saving for a visit soon ;-)

Just keep your eye on ebay but search for mk4 golf stuff,

I've just got a 25mm used eibach bar for 110 quid delivered

I've got matching neuspeeds, 25mm front and 28mm rear. Gives a huge amount of confidence. Hangs on forever! But that's probably one of the most expensive options. Worth it though.

Neuspeed and Whiteline hang low somewhat though. I'm liking the look of the neat and tidy Eibach myself (although I'd have to give it some stealth black paint)... just not sure what to pair it with...

autotech sit bit higher than the neuspeed, but the eibach is def better for stealth fit. Either pair it with some christmas tree baubles:> or my personal preference a 23mm front r32 arb. That setup works really well!

Eibach do a front too dont they ? Thought i seen it on dpm :)

Does anyone know of an stockist/garage in the Essex/London area where i can speak to someone on a personal basis and actually look at one of these RARB's?

Probably going to get one soon and seems there is a few options. Need somewhere which can supply me with a complete kit as well as advice on bushes etc as i'd like to change the front for a thicker one while i'm at it.

Hi I'm in Kent near to Dartford. You are more than welcome to pop round and take a look at mine with all the goodies fitted. I can also arrange supply and fitment of any items. Cheers Pete.

I have just fitted the whiteline 24mm bar to mine and its transformed the car. I went for this as I wanted to keep the stock bar up front to save on money and have no plans to take her on the track, with the coilovers fitted she handles perfectly for road use. Your more than welcome to have a look at mine. Infact in the new year I'm planning to hold a mini fix it/ detailing meet at my place in which we could fit any parts you want help with.

The Whiteline 24mm adjustable rear bar is always a popular option.

Let me know if you need any prices or info.

Hi Damian...

Could you fill me in as to whether the 25mm Eibach rarb is exactly the same as the 25mm one in the 22mm and 25mm RS kit? And the same for the 22mm front arb?

They seem rather expensive on their own, but a bargain as a kit, if indeed they are the same items.

If they are the same, then rather than the my plan of Eibach rear and R32 front, this would be an option I can't pass up on the price (especially since my mate has decided not to upgrade his minty R32).

Although I can't afford it for a good few months yet...

Kind regards,

Damien

(I apologise to the original poster for this semi-hijack, but I feel that it is information that we can all benefit from, no?)

It's definitely worth the extra if wanting to completely transform the handling and planning to uprate the front arb too, going on my experience with Golfs.

My only reservation with the Whiteline RARB on the octy, was the somewhat crappy mounting. I bought one, took a look at the fitting kit, decided I didn't really want to bodge it onto my beam in such a way, and sold it straight on.

Just as another option. it's a mild one compared to others but I have the H&R one. It is nice and progressive so doesn't really change the characteristics of the car but definitely improves it. only downside is I would have to change it if I wanted to upgrade the front too. I like it though because I'm not worried about the car being twitchy or unpredictable when my girlfriend or somebody else is driving it. maybe that's just being silly

Yes the 25mm rear bar is the same as the one sold alone and the one in the 22mm/25mm kit.

The Whiteline 24mm rear ARB is also a very good option.
