demist actuator.

Featured Replies

Has any body ever had or seen the fault come up, demist actuator stuck? Is so is it a easy fix?

Just out of curiosity how do you know it is stuck on? Is your rear window defrosting on a morning without you pressing anything!?

Is it the button on the dashboard that won't release?

When I turn my rear window demister on/off I can hear a click from down by my right knee so I'm guessing that there is a resister that may be stuck in the on position?

If it isn't the button that is the problem can you hear a click when you press the button?

If it has been stuck on for some time you may begin to see battery issues at some point as the rear screen demistor has one of the highest electrical loads.

Its the front demist actuator flap that controls air to the dash bord area. Not the rear.

You can do a calibration of all the flaps with a combination of button presses, or from VCDS. Try a search for climatronic clicking or flap reset.

Don't mention it
