Given the assumption of a big hybrid turbo can bigger cams and injectors can really liberate an extra 100ish horses?

Want this! Lol

Doubt it's 300.

Bet it's a right soot chucker either way.

Phil

see if i was looking around i would definitely give that a look at, and definitely see if its all true :p

It is not inconceivable. :)

Whats all this "motorsport" crap about?

PD160 with a remap from Dave down the pub = 293bhp..... only realstic part of that add is the torque figure.

I think the original owner used to be a frequent user of Seatcupra.net and reading the advert it's not the original owner lol.

They seem rather precise figures. Someone should email him and ask him to see the dyno certificate. It does look very smart though!

No mention of a single mass flywheel either :-/... very much doubt a dual mass would survive 450 torque lol...

Pretty low torque figure for the power from a diesel, 328lb/ft?

Maybe he meant to put 193bhp and 445Nm?

No mention of an intercooler either. Be interestin to have a look at

I dunno... It's not beyond the realms of possibility.

There are plenty of ways of limiting torque to make it gentler on clutches.

However y'know the thing that screams LIE to me?

Federal tyres on there with all that money spent on power and braking? Really?

Them federal tyres if I'm right are "track" tyres.

I think chrisw880 is right.

bigger turbo, cam, etc(?) means it'll make torque longer so maybe it doesn't have that stereotypical, nasty, low down torque spike? you don't need to be making huge peak torque to make high peak power

Twice?

Its a Ibiza cupra so it`ll have a FMIC as standard.

In all fairness, I dont see why its so far fetched. Cams, injectors, exhaust, clutch, turbo & Map. Clearly they didnt get the work done, else the know the make of everything so they are just putting "motorsport" before each item, but thats not to say its untrue. If its a decent turbo & has had head work then on a set of slightly optimistic rollers those figures would be within the realms of possibility. Plus often if a car does a run and has slightly high torque figures the power figures will be slightly lower and vica versa so that would explain the low torque if its run a little more power.

Aside from that point, the car looks very nice and well looked after!

i think it's entirely plausible.

I just wasn't "really" doubting the claim just posted it cost it looked tasty and didn't mention much spec.

That said the PD160 cupra Ibiza came with loads more kit as standard and as sam said at the very beginning darkside kits are more than capable of those figures

They most definitely are.

I was taken for a spin in an Octy mk2 the other day there that was awesome - and it wasn't even fully tuned or as lairy as their race stuff!

... as their race stuff!

don't say that Chris

I'm already finding it hard to not rip the interior out of the red car and get a cage on order ;)

Crock of ****e.

lol it must be the most powerful 1.9 tdi around..... Is pushing neraly 300bhp even possible?
