Nope I am running stage 2 forge IC, full decat milltek & pipercross panel filter but I have modified the OEM box and intake..there's a post which I have added pics in of what I have done to have more direct air but keeping the standard look. Whether it makes a big difference who knows, I had both the forge & itg intake and wasn't impressed with either so opted for a £40 panel filter & kept £200 in the bank

you'll still get 90-95% of the power on the stock intake. The exhaust and intercooler are definitely the key items IMO.

What ever you do do not under any circumstance use Revo for the software. Royaly screwed my car up costing 2k

I jad stage 2 revo on for about 6 months and loved how it drove. One day it misfired and started to run on 3 cylinders. so i changed the plugs. Within 100 miles the same happened. So another set of new plugs along with coil packs. Same happenedagain. Car was due its 5000 mile service so i got the guys at perfect touch to do some checks. All compression tests were fine no boost leaks etc. However they were completely shocked at what they found in terms of the map. Basically revos map is far far to rich when on boost and the engine is unable to ignite the fuel so misfires which causes the engine to flood the engine with fuel and contaminate the spark plug killing it. Before any mention of changing the map we set about trying to solve the problem. We tried ngk bkr7s and 8s which had the car misfiring through the midrange and top end but they could only be seen when live logging. Bkr9s solved some of the midrange problems but still missed like a pig at the top end. I then got a set of okada plasma coils and tried all 3 sets of plugs again. All plugs worked slightly better but car still missed at the top even with a 3 grade cooler plug and a 10x better coil pack. By this point I had called Revo about 5 times to speak with them but strangely enough I could only ever get through on the sales number to a reciptionist. Neither of the guys would speak directly to me so passed messages through the receptionist and basically told me to stop bothering them there's no way it could be the map its my engine that's broken. So they certainly lived up to the reputation of having the worlds worst aftercare service. After speaking with Claudio and gabs I decided to get them to custom map my car. Not like I had alot to lose anyway. So I get my car back and Jesus it feels so much better. Much more driveable, more torque and no problems of any description. The peak bhp is not as high but its faster to drive as it pulls right to 7k whereas before it dropped of a cliff after 6k. I'll have the dyno to put up on Tuesday for all to see. I think I gave Revo enough chances to help me with the problem so once I've got all the evidence I need I will be taking the story to all car magazine's and if still doesn't get them to sort something out ill be going legal with it.

So in essence no its not something that will happen anywhere its dependent on the software

That's why I asked what the OP didn't like about the ITG :-) if its related to the way the ducting is routed then my thoughts were that the VWR +different battery may be worth considering

When u first went to get my car remapped the told me stage 1 is asfar as theyv got got with my ecu/engine combanition.....which was around the time pitbull and a few i seen on sc.net were having problems

Their just a bunch of 'turn it up to 11' idiots with barely 2 brain cells to rub together between them. Bet stasis are wishing they'd never joined up now.

Could be that i have a slightly diffrent ecu and that was the problem but im sure others have had it done on the same ecu

APR have that amnesty deal which saves you 50% on the map if you have a competitors software on your car. Beats paying full price for a change of software

hello there i did not tick the cruise box on the options when i got my new car wish i had now ,got a quote from skoda to fit cruise £388 ouch ,i do belive its a pain in the butt to do for our lovely vrs
