Few Bits Done vRS

Featured Replies

Busy week so far this week.

Have had a 2.5" cat back custom exhaust fitted. This was followed by a rolling road session and remap. Lastly had my H&R lowering springs fitted!

Before map the car ran a standard 209bhp with 206 lb/ft torque.

Wheel horsepower came in at just over 160bhp. Car is returning to rolling road next week to see how the exhaust and map are doing. Tweaks will be made if needed.

The map and exhaust have made a huge transformation to how the car drives! Nice and smooth and so far no issues.

3rd gear is mad now!

The map on the car should give an extra 45bhp and 55 torques.

Having said that, I'm driving the car very gently until the cam follower is changed! Roll on next Monday.

Stupid question alert - Do remapped engines use more oil, compared to standard?

No they shouldn't if your engine and turbos in good condition

Cheers mate. Car isn't consuming excess oil so all seems okay.

New DV turned up from Awesome as I'm sure it is losing boost.

Cone filter and downpipe next along with a map tweak.

just asking mate what revision dv did you have, reason im asking is ive just replaced my rev d with a rev c and according to my torque app on my phone ive gained 4psi.

That's very interesting mate. Is the C revision the diaphragm version? Fitted as standard?

The one I've received is the revision D type which is the later style piston DV.

can you pop up a pick with your h&r's on please
