2004 fabia Vrs

Hello and welcome to the forum. How much night driving do you do, or do you want them mainly for appearance? A cheaper option could be to try some of the ultra white H1, H7 bulbs in your current units. Just a thought as uprating to xenons HIDs will be megga bucks?

cheers

Ade

Hello Matey & welcome along .

I remember having a new Gti 6 back in the day...thirsty; uncomfortable but a great car !

Hi Ade was thinking of bulbs see some nice ones on a vrs on YouTube using osram bulbs was quite bright.

Only thing I've seen elsewhere on the forum is depending on how old your vRS is you may have to stick to the standard 55w bulbs as some claim sticking 100w ones in causes problems with excessive current drain, which the ECU then thinks is a fault. I can't say either way as I've got 55w standard power ones in mine though I have changed the dip beams to some of the Halfords ultra brilliance h7s in mine, supposed to be upto 90% brighter white light, though looking at the feedback they don't seem to last very long which I guess is to be expected - The chap at halfords said I didn't need to change the h1s as the h7s stay on on high beam anyway which made sense, so I only changed dip. One thing I would say is beware of ebay- I bought some osrams and they were no diferent in either output or colour compared to the OE ones I swapped them for so looks like I bought some fakes! Not saying every bulb on ebay is a ringer but be careful!
