Grab handles in the rear?

Featured Replies

Is there a facility (can't see an option) to add grab handles in the rear? Mother in Law (82 years young) doesn't sit in the front of cars, so always sits in the back yet does rely somewhat on the grab handles (like in my Fabia) to aid herself in and out.

No, I haven't had a look as I'm not at home at the moment...and won't be for a week or so; just doing some research!

No option on the lists. But Ive no idea if the are fitted to the 5 door version.

Its aimed (brochure wise) towards the younger person so nothing about pull handles.

I have a five door, and yes grab handles in the rear.

We have a 5 door, with NO grab handles in the rear ?? - only coat hooks

5 door here... no grab handles, only coat hooks.

I doubt you can add them as they'd need to be screwed securely into a load bearing part of the frame and there will be no such braket as they are not fitted.

So it'd be time for a home made special! :D

Ours is like it is shown in this attachment, which is from the Skoda UK brochure.................

I assumed they were there, until I checked.

Maybe I wasn't the only one?

Not really in the mood (or country!) to check behind the headlining to see if there are any fixings there at the moment. If they're available in one market, then the fixings should be there on the bodyshell. Just another case of differing specs for differing markets.

Scandinavian versions seem to come with everything - any one there got them?

lemonvrs - any chance of a sneaky picture??

No grab handles either -ours is one of the first 5 doors delivered
