Featured Replies

I saw a bora that had been lowered and has inspired me to go lower, so im now dropped a further 17mm from where it was, its a chronic pita now but i had to do it.

Here is a pic of the boras lowness, as you can see i had to do something to mine, its still about an higher than this but looks better than it did.

His was epic though

I bet those who know suspension design really like seeing the bottom arms pointing up...instead of down on this type of car.............

I bet it handles and rides perfectly..........

On a skating rink................... :giggle:

Does he ever cross the lines/catseyes on a road????????

hahaha, i know, mines clear of cateyes, its all about the look.

and his looks amazing, i dont drive fast so ill go too low aswell, but never that low

Looks a bit like mine and yes know people will say it won't handle and it's unsafe etc etc but I like it that way and I can deal with hitting cats eyes etc

Look at the angle of the bottom arm lol

hahaha yeah he doesn't go above 140

theyre just spot on.... i miss my lows .....

You get used to it and you get to know where to avoid cos when you hit something pretty hard it sticks in your mind and you remember next time what position to be in the road to avoid it lol,you just have to be on your guard and watch the road like a hawk and get used to the sound too cos some roads there's nothing you can do and you end up hitting the road whatever you do and speed ramps you just hit it with the bumper then hear the sound of dragging plastic then metal and then your on your way haha,I know most people think its stupid and in fairness it is but I like a low car and I wish I had a daily commuter car but I don't and as I currently work in goole and live in hull so do around 60 mile a day round trip which isn't ideal and is taking its toll on the old girl but I have no other mode of transport and raising is never an option :)

sub frames can be replaced, and chassis rails can be welded

Sorry to say but that is shizer!

Being too low to enjoy a car is rediculous! I once got whooped on the twisties by an old boy in a rover 45 cause i was bottoming out!

depends if your a street racer or not, im a slow driver, looks are more important to me than speeding.

obviously were all different, prob 50/50 split on here, i like low, so this lowering of dsmith is biblical

Nope i want the satisfaction of doing that. and i dont think itll look right on your 4x4........... is it a 4x4?

Like I say, different strokes for different folks,I always get told that it won't handle in the twisties etc but then I drive to the speed limits and dont feel i have to get into a race everytime i'm out on the road so have nothing to prove plus I've never span off the road in a ball of flames as a result of been the height I am and to be honest if I cared about handling and giving it beans in the twisties or on track days then I seriously doubt I'd of bought a big barge of a car like an octavia in the first place :)
