Used Scout Price

Featured Replies

Thinking of moving on and selling my Octavia Scout Tdi but wondering how much it'll be worth out there. 57 plate with 53k on the clock, met grey, alcantara interior, heated seats, xenons, fssh..etc...

Anyone know what they are worth these days ?

Between £10,000 and £11,000, see here:

http://www.autotrade...ew/sort/default

This is what they are advertised for, not what they are selling for.

I check Scout availability weekly and 90% of these Scouts have been advertised on Autotrader for many months.

Yours is as early as they get (2007 / 57) but has low mileage and a nice spec and it's in a popular colour too.

Has it had a cambelt at four years?

Has the Haldex oil been changed (40,000 miles)?

Is the service history all Skoda main dealer?

Has it been serviced on fixed intervals (1 year or 10,000 miles) or variable (up to 2 years or 20,000 miles)?

Have the alloys begun to corrode?

What are the tyres like?

Any damage?

Has it had the ESP failure?

Does it have a towbar? Have you used it to tow?

Now is a good time to sell a Scout as the weather begins to turn but if you want a quick sale then you'll have to price it attractively.

I'd advertise a £9,500 with the aim of getting £9,000 for a private sale.

Start around £6.5k and haggle.

I got £6k for my L&K 1.8 TSI at 24k miles and 4.5 years old.

If you fancy an Octavia vRS I'll swap plus some cash ;)

He's selling, not buying.

The Scout demands a large premium over the standard Octavia, even more so for a diesel so your two wheel drive, petrol Octavia doesn't really offer an accurate comparison.

Will probably start to hold there money now as they are not building them anymore (according to my local stealer)

I don't see the price of scouts dropping in the next year or so. Not until the Octy3 scouts start arriving in big enough numbers that prices become negotiable.
