TDI boost pressures?

Featured Replies

What sort of pressures to TDI turbo's go to - I'm aware they never vacuum as they just DON'T ;) but what's the max PSI usually? Isn't it quite high? in the region of 40 PSI, compared to 1.8T 15 PSI(ish)

standard boost is 1.5bar

remapped is 1.55/1.6bar

edit: not sure wot that is in psi money :D

1 bar roughly = 14 psi. So 1.5 ~= 21, 1.6 ~= 22.4

Yes 1.6 bar here too in remapped form.

And 1.7 for a certain froggy owners car

oooooooh. ;)

I'm currently trying to plumb my boost gauge in.

Once I've got it in I'll do a write-up and photos thingy.

Yes please. :)

Hmm does can vagcom measure boost electronically or is it a plumbed-in-guage only option? ;)

I'm willing to testify at brunters :D

VAG COM should give you a reading of what the ECU sees from the pressure sensor.

Thought that was for the PD150/PD160?

Thought PD130 went to 1.4bar for revo?

PD 130 goes up to 1.3-1.4 std.
