What sort of pressures to TDI turbo's go to - I'm aware they never vacuum as they just DON'T but what's the max PSI usually? Isn't it quite high? in the region of 40 PSI, compared to 1.8T 15 PSI(ish)

remapped is 1.55/1.6bar

1 bar roughly = 14 psi. So 1.5 ~= 21, 1.6 ~= 22.4

VAG COM should give you a reading of what the ECU sees from the pressure sensor.
