What specification battery do I require for my Octavia 1.9TDI.

It's getting a bit slow to start on these cold mornings!

I looked online and they recommend batterys with a lower CCA than currently fitted?

I looked on euro's web page and it suggested a battery with ;

but the current battery is 700 CCA, would the above be suffient?

It must be at least 70Amps capacity.

CCA -cold cranking amps is relevant but not so much,a good bat is balanced between capacity and CCA,so if you choose a good brand at least 70amps capacity,the CCA will be sufficient

as above, but if the space takes takes more, give it more, i fitted a 100amp in mine, and it has great cca, had to modify tray, but turns the engine with great ferocity. Everything just seems to work that bit better too

I got my last battery, a Bosch one from EuroCarParts. I did it my measurement to ensure it would fit.

The one I fitted was 444770057 / Bosch BatteryS4 Battery 005 4 Year Guarantee which I picked up with the 25% Briskoda discount

Do you have a TPS near you? Bought a new battery from them from the Leon and they were cheaper than ECP even with the 25% Briskoda discount.
