Did my first track day yesterday

Did my first ever trackday yesterday at Anglesey. What a mega day. Only prep i did was a front set of Ferrodo des2500's. I'm suprised by how the car performed! much much better than I was expecting. Was a good mixture of cars on track to compare to and had a few passenger rides in various things. Was lucky enough to have some tuition from friends who know the place rather well and it was noticable the difference between entrance/exit speeds in the morning and afternoon. Was initially damp so got to grips with the car sliding and by the dry afternoon was really flying. Will be after upgrading brakes all round for next time and some different tyres. The OEM tyres handled really well but after 5/6 laps the front became a bit slippy.

Glad you enjoyed the trackday. As you enjoyed it so much I can see your hooked as I have been for a number of years.

I have driven an S2000 on the road and on track and the engine likes to rev away nicely but the body seems heavy to me. Have you considered stripping some weight from the car and just use it as a track car.

I can't see me doing anymore than 5 trackdays and a ring trip a year. Stripping weight from them isn't the easiest of things. The main immediate saving is loosing the soft top motors and soft top/and or hard top. I love the way i can jump in and enjoy a blast in the countryside and have the roof up in seconds, or hop in and do a track day as is. Ring trip in June/July hopefully!

Yeah Anglesey again, its a good weekend! Oulton this year on the agenda too. Cadwell's a bit too far for me :(
