Caddy Wheel Trims & Bolt Torque

Featured Replies

I had that problem too, although my steelies came from MyTyres and they're not genuine Skoda ones.  The key dimensions are to spec but obviously there is more bulge or dish in the wheel than can be accommodated by the clips on the Caddy wheel trims.  I gave up trying to find a solution and used the "spider" Caddy centre caps instead.

This year I am using a set of 16" fake alloy plastic wheel trims with self-adhesive Skoda badges (pennies from eBay) stuck in the centre.  Not my choice, but SWMBO complained like hell about the all-black wheels, and the wheel trims were only £11 in Aldi last week...

The Flat trims are removed by inserting the small hook supplied as part of the Yeti tool "kit" in one of the holes & giving it a gentle pull, but I don't know about the "Spider" trims.

Johann - one for you to answer I think, as you have the "spider" trims.

Yes as answered above the hook takes the "spiders" off neatly.

Are those small covers a VAG part?

I have similar but knocked them up myself.

CFB you just need to put the plastic covers back from the alloys...  to round this off neatly.

Exactly what I did this time. (Well, the fitter did and I just left them there)

Now wondering how long it will take the local oiks to figure out how easy they are to remove?

Here ya go Johann.

Apologies for the blur. Phone and shaky hands.
