Android tablet for kids?

Featured Replies

Been toying (no pun intended) with the idea of a tablet for my 4yr old.

He enjoys playing on my phone with all the apps, logo quiz, fone jacker soundboard :giggle: etc.

SWMBO is quite taken with the innoTab2/LeapPad2 both around £70

I favor a product that you can get apps/games/educational stuff for outside of the vTech/Leapfrog domain meaning I'm not tied to buying their apps and or cartridges so that the tablet could be used for other things in future as he grows up.

Been looking at this tablet which is similar in price, runs on android and is "non-branded"

Any pro's/con's, advice, experience of the above products?

Over to you the Briskoda massive!!!

I got my son one of these (he's 7) and it's plenty good enoung for his needs, even comes with the GPS cable and box so it was used as a sat nav over the summer.

We've never had any issues with it, it plays dvd's (via a memory stick) and keeps my son entertained, also can in the case with the keypad.

check out the nabi 2 - same quad core tegra 3 processor as the google nexus 7 - ie verrry good bit of kit. Bought one for my son for his birthday. ANd when he's in bed it has a daddy mode so I can use it. Seems tp be very well reviewed indeed.
