Thanks mark. They have a few scratches, but I'll spray them up soon. Still the rubber is worth more than that I thought.

So, now my handling is somewhat improved, I have decided to do a cheap lofty thrifty purchase, up to now i didnt think it possible to fall over when sat in a car but this phenomenon is becoming more frequent as time goes on.

The problem being these

So I found a tenner in ma pocket and got some recaro TYPE kinda seats from a golf gti, filthy as feck drivers seat yeeeesh but thats why theyre cheap, here they are, rest are ok

Fortunately that didnt matter because i used to have a different job that involved this

The camera really shows dirt up but to the eye they are now pristine

Tenner well spent I think, very supportive and great bolsters by comparison, not flattened or worn so very happy, old seats felt like they were made of cardboard, and look really 'nice' ............with its lovely patternage

What a bargain! Look fantastic after the cleanup :-)

Ha yeah they do, cheers man, the comfort was key reason to get em.

They look a little similar to mine too

cheers mate, would like leather or proper recaros, but these will do the job of keeping me upright at least

Just looked properly at the pics (was working last night) they are really tidy! I used to run a wee carpet cleaning business, having the machine is bloody useful eh?

Do the door cards match well enough?

  • Author

theyre ok, not out of the way noticeable but dont really match

you need to activate it as well mate but im sure you already know that.

theres kits like these about click so im sure you can get the info ya need off of other peoples build threads.

haha yeah man cheers i have fully loaded vag com, and found a loom for £25 so total £45 for cruise control, not bad at all

Excelent read. it just goes to show that you don't need a massive budget to make a great looking car

I used to really like the GTI seats that I bought for my Octavia, much better for daily use than the Recaro's, they still offer really good support yet the boulsters don't wear out as quick.
